Privacy policy

In short: Word Daze has no accounts, no backend and no analytics. It does not track you. The only thing it ever asks the internet for is the daily puzzle.
What the app fetches
Once in a while the app makes a plain HTTPS request to worddaze.com for a static puzzle file: an index, and the file for today's daily puzzle. If you have the full game it may also fetch an earlier daily puzzle when you open it.
The request contains only the file name and the standard information every web request carries, including your device's IP address, which the web host necessarily sees. It does not contain an identifier, an account, a device ID, your play history, progress, purchases or settings. The app keeps no cookies or credentials for these requests.
What we do not do
- No accounts or sign-in.
- No analytics, advertising or tracking.
- No third-party SDKs.
- We do not collect, sell or share personal data.
Offline
If the fetch fails, nothing breaks: the app stays playable offline, and a daily puzzle you already downloaded can still be played.
What is stored on your device
Downloaded puzzle files are kept on the device. Your progress, settings and daily results are stored locally on your device. They are also backed up to your own iCloud key-value storage, so they can follow you to a new device. That copy lives in your Apple account and is not visible to us.
Purchases
The single unlock is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We never see your payment details or Apple account. The app only checks with Apple whether the unlock is owned. Apple's own privacy policy applies to the purchase.
Web host logs
This website and the daily puzzle files are plain static files served by Cloudflare, which may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, requested file, time and browser or app user agent) under its own policy. We do not run our own analytics on the site, have no cookies or scripts that track you, and do not use these logs to identify or follow anyone. The site loads its font from its own files, not from Google or any other third party.
Children
Word Daze collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this ever changes, we will update this page and its date before the change ships.
